Open FoamCalc, go to the paywall screen (or About & Settings), and tap "Restore." This re-checks your Apple ID or Google account for an existing subscription or lifetime purchase and re-applies it — no new charge is made. This works after reinstalling the app or switching devices, as long as you're signed into the same App Store or Google Play account you originally purchased with.
Subscriptions are managed entirely through your Apple ID or Google account — not inside FoamCalc and not on this website. On iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: open the Google Play Store app → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Canceling stops future billing; you keep Pro access through the end of the period you already paid for.
Yes. Every calculator works fully offline — there's no network dependency on any calculation path. You can use it in a crawlspace or attic with zero bars. (The free tier's banner ad does need a connection to load; if you're offline, the ad space is simply empty and the app keeps working normally.)
No. FoamCalc has no accounts, no login, and no email capture of any kind. Your saved calculations, jobs, templates, and yield log all live on your device only.
No, and this is deliberate. The R-value solver returns inches for a target R-value — it never issues a pass/fail or "meets code" verdict. The reference table is explicitly labeled with its edition (2021 IECC prescriptive minimums), and the app always tells you to verify current requirements with your local building department, since code adoption and amendments vary by state.
Since everything is stored locally on your device and nowhere else, uninstalling FoamCalc removes all of its saved data along with it. There's no cloud backup or account to recover it from — export anything you want to keep as a PDF, CSV, or via the share sheet before uninstalling.
